SikaWrap®-100 G

Woven glass fiber fabric, designed for structural strengthening applications

SikaWrap®-100 G is an unidirectional woven glass fiber fabric, designed for installation using the wet application process.

  • Manufactured with weft fibers to keep the fabric stable (heat-set process)

Usage

Strengthening of reinforced concrete structures, brickwork and timber to increase flexural and shear load capacity. Reasons:
  • Prevention of defects caused by seismic action
  • Blast mitigation (accidents or terrorism)
  • Improved seismic performance of masonry walls
  • Electrical environments that ask for non-conductive material
  • Strength and ductility of columns
  • Improved serviceability
  • Structural upgrading to comply with current stan-dards

The above values are typical and indicative only.

The achievable laminate properties obtained from tensile test are dependant on the impregnating/laminating resin used and the type of tensile testing procedure. Apply material reduction factors according to the relevant design standard.

Primer on prepared substrate (depending on the roughness):

  • Smooth surface: ~ 0.5 kg/m2 (Sikadur®-300 or Sikadur®-330)
  • Rough surface:   ~ 0.5 - 1.0 kg/m2 (Sikadur®-330 or Sikadur®-300 mixed with max. 5% thixotropic agent Sikadur®-513)

Impregnation resin for every layer (manually or with saturator):

  • ≥ 0.75 kg/m2 (Sikadur®-300)
 
Application steps

SUBSTRATE QUALITY

Specific requirements: minimal substrate tensile strength: 1.0 N/mm2 or as specified in the strengthening design.
