PREMIUM SCREED FOR INDUSTRIAL FLOORS

SikaScreed®-141 Primo is a premium, prepacked floor screed designed for demanding industrial and commercial applications, where heavy loads and high traffic are expected. SikaScreed®-141 Primo provides good workability with just the addition of water, making it easy to mix on site, and is suitable for casting over both new and existing concrete floors.

Usage

SikaScreed®-141 Primo is suitable for use as a screeding material on new concrete substrates, or to repair old worn-out substrates in housing estates and industrial factories. It can be used for internal as well as external applications.

Approximately 4.6 - 6.0 litres of water / 40 kg bag

Application steps

SURFACE PREPARATION

Remove all dust, oil and debris. Dampen the dry concrete surface before application of SikaScreed®-141 Primo.
For old worn out and hollow substrates, the surface should be hacked off and primed with bonding slurry coat before applying SikaScreed®-141 Primo.

 

MIXING

Mix with a site drum mixer for 3 - 5 minutes until the desired homogeneous mix is achieved.
Ensure that it is free of lump before use.

APPLICATION

A site trial can be conducted if necessary to ensure the consistency of the slurry coat is suitable. The mixed SikaScreed®-141 Primo mortar is then poured onto the slurry coat wet-on-wet after about 30 minutes. Compact and finish the screed in accordance to standard practice using a suitable float or trowel.

CURING TREATMENT

In hot ambient temperatures and windy outdoor environment, the screed should be shielded from direct sunlight and be cured with water spray or appropriate curing compound for a few days to prevent rapid or excessive moisture loss and surface from cracking.
