On November 20, 2024, Sika Singapore hosted a memorable Plant Pre-opening Dinner, marking a key milestone in its journey of innovation and excellence in Singapore’s growing construction industry.
The event, officiated by Philippe Jost, Regional Manager for Asia/Pacific, and Jacqueline Ng, General Manager of Sika Singapore, welcomed 200 esteemed customers and stakeholders.
The new state-of-the-art plant in Tuas, scheduled to be fully operational by January 2025, represents a significant investment in advanced technology. Designed to optimize production efficiency and safety while maintaining top-tier quality, the fully automated facility underscores Sika’s unwavering commitment to sustainability by minimizing waste and reducing environmental impact.
Highlights of the evening included a captivating sand art performance illustrating Sika's milestones, including its achievements in Singapore, and the launch of two innovative products: SikaCeram®-850 Design and SikaCeram®-855. These two-component, epoxy-based tile grouts are ready-to-use solutions tailored for interior applications. SikaCeram®-850 Design offers a glossy finish, while SikaCeram®-855 features a sanded texture with a semi-matte finish—both designed to meet the demands of the home improvement and renovation sectors.
The evening also showcased Sika's dedication to corporate social responsibility. By partnering with MINDS, a social enterprise supporting individuals with special needs, attendees contributed to a meaningful cause. This collaboration added a heartwarming touch to the event, reflecting Sika's commitment to community support.
