SikaWall®-163 INT

HIGH PERFORMANCE CEMENTITIOUS FINISH SKIM COAT FOR INTERNAL APPLICATION

SikaWall®-163 INT is a premium quality cementitious finishing coat specially formulated for skimming. Its smooth architectural finishing and superior adhesion strength is suitable for internal vertical and overhead surfaces. It can be trowelled finished to meet stringent architectural requirements.

Upon drying, SikaWall®-163 INT will not shrink, sag, or crack. It finishes smooth, requires little to no sanding, and can be painted on after application.
Just add water to SikaWall®-163 INT by mixing with a hand-held mechanical mixer to produce a homogeneous paste with good workability.

Usage

SikaWall®-163 INT is a finish coat suitable for application on all types of concrete surfaces, lightweight concrete slabs, pre-cast panels, soffits, blockwalls, lightweight autoclaved aerated blocks and rendered surfaces.

Storage Conditions

Store properly in original, unopened and undamaged sealed packaging in dry conditions at temperatures between +10 °C and +35 °C. Keep away from direct sunlight, rain and water.

Application steps

SURFACE PREPARATION

Remove all dust, oil or traces of foreign materials. Dampen the dry concrete or plastered surface before application of SikaWall®-163 INT.

MIXING

Add approximately 7.5 - 8.75 litres of water to 25 kg of SikaWall®-163 INT, mix thoroughly using an electrical mixer for 3 to 5 minutes until the desired homogeneous paste is achieved and ready to use.

APPLICATION

SikaWall®-163 INT is applied using a steel trowel to a maximum thickness of 3 mm and cured under shaded ambient conditions.
Second coat can be applied after previous coat is dry. The total thickness should not exceed 6 mm. It will remain workable for approximately 60 minutes after mixing. SikaWall®-163 INT can be finished with soft hair brush or trowelled smooth.

 


It is important to protect the product during placement and whilst curing from direct sunlight and wind. This is to prevent rapid dehydration or desiccation (excessive moisture loss).
