HIGH QUALITY PREMIXED CEMENTITIOUS FINE PLASTER

SikaWall®-161 Fine Plaster is a premixed cementitious wall plaster comprising of Ordinary Portland Cement, graded sands, approved recycled materials and chemical additives. SikaWall®-161 Fine Plaster is specially formulated for better adhesion strength and to reduce shrinkage cracks, giving superior bonding to concrete substrates and brick/block wall surfaces. SikaWall®-161 Fine Plaster is certified by the Eco-labelling authority in Singapore as a sustainable building material.

Usage

SikaWall®-161 Fine Plaster is an extremely versatile material, highly recommended for bedding, pointing brickwork and blockwork, backing and bedding for wall tiles, and for both internal and external plastering.   SikaWall®-161 Fine Plaster can be used for all types of concrete substrate, lightweight autoclaved aerated blocks, brickwall and blockwall.

Application steps

SURFACE PREPARATION

Remove all dust, oil or traces of foreign materials. Dampen the dry concrete or plastered surface before application of SikaWall®-161 Fine Plaster. If the concrete surface is out of alignment, use a structural repair mortar to repair and level the surface before commencing plastering.

MIXING

Mix thoroughly using an electrical mixer or a paddle mixer for 3 to 5 minutes until the desired homogeneous mortar paste is achieved. Ensure the mix is free from lumps before use.

 

APPLICATION

SikaWall®-161 Fine Plaster is applied using a steel trowel or spraying machine. Spread and press the mortar up to a maximum thickness of 15 mm for each layer. For multiple layers, ensure the previous layer is dry before applying the next layer.

CURING TREATMENT

In hot ambient temperature, the plaster should be cured with water spray during the first 2 days, for better shrinkage control.
