SikaWall®-161 RenoFine

HIGH PERFORMANCE CEMENTITIOUS FINE PLASTER

SikaWall®-161 RenoFine is a high-performance, premixed cementitious plaster designed for faster setting and easier application on-site. It is formulated using Ordinary Portland Cement, well-graded sands, approved recycled materials, and specialized chemical additives to deliver excellent workability and strong adhesion. This advanced composition minimizes shrinkage cracks and ensures a durable finish on concrete and brick/block surfaces.

Usage

SikaWall®-161 RenoFine is a highly versatile material, ideal for bedding and pointing brickwork and blockwork, providing backing and bedding for wall tiles, as well as for internal and external plastering applications.   SikaWall®-161 RenoFine is suitable for application on many types of substrates, including reinforced concrete wall, precast wall, brickwall, blockwall, lightweight autoclaved aerated blocks (ALC/AAC), etc.

Application steps

SURFACE PREPARATION

Remove all dust, oil or traces of foreign materials. Dampen the dry concrete or plastered surface before application of SikaWall®-161 RenoFine. If the concrete surface is out of alignment, use a structural repair mortar to repair and level the surface before commencing plastering. 

It is highly recommended to apply a layer of slurry bonding coat (1 part SikaLatex®-88 Reno to 2 parts SikaWall®-161 RenoFine) on the substrate and leave it to cure and harden for 1 day before applying the 1st layer of SikaWall®-161 RenoFine. 

MIXING

Mix thoroughly using an electrical mixer or a paddle mixer for 3 to 5 minutes until the desired homogeneous mortar paste is achieved. Ensure the mix is free from lumps before use. 

 

APPLICATION

With a steel trowel, spread SikaWall®-161 RenoFine onto the wall and press the mortar up to a maximum thickness of 15 mm for each layer. If multiple layers are required, ensure that the previous layer is dry before applying the next layer. 

CURING TREATMENT

In hot ambient temperature, the plaster should be cured with water spray during the first 2 days, for better shrinkage control.
