HIGH QUALITY PREMIXED CEMENTITIOUS COARSE PLASTER

SikaWall®-162 MCP is a premixed cementitious plaster comprising of Ordinary Portland Cement, approved recycled materials, graded sands and chemical additives. SikaWall®-162 MCP is formulated to provide superior bonding to concrete substrate, brick/blockwork surfaces and is suitable for both internal and external plastering. SikaWall®-162 MCP is approved by the Eco-labelling authority in Singapore as a sustainable building material.

Usage

SikaWall®-162 MCP is an extremely versatile material highly recommended for bedding, pointing brickwork and blockwork, backing and bedding for wall tiles. It is also recommended for both internal and external plastering.   SikaWall®-162 MCP can be used for all types of concrete substrate, lightweight autoclaved aerated blocks, brickwall and blockwall.

Application steps

SUBSTRATE PREPARATION

Remove all dust, oil or traces of foreign materials. Dampen the dry concrete or plastered surface before application of SikaWall®-162 MCP. If the concrete
surface is out of alignment, use a structural repair mortar to repair and level the surface before commencing plastering.
NOTE: SikaWall®-162 MCP is not suitable for structural repairs to level structural mis-alignment as it is not a concrete repair material.

MIXING

Mix thoroughly using an electrical mixer or a paddle mixer for 3 to 5 minutes until the desired homogeneous mortar paste is achieved. Ensure the mix is free from lumps before use.

 

APPLICATION

SikaWall®-162 MCP is applied using a steel trowel or spraying machine. It can be applied up to a maximum thickness of 15 mm per layer. For multiple layer application, ensure the previous layer is dry before applying the next layer.

CURING TREATMENT

In hot ambient temperature, the plaster should be cured with water spray during the first 2 days, for better shrinkage control.
