SikaWall®-166 RenoPlast

PREMIXED COARSE MORTAR PLASTER

SikaWall®-166 RenoPlast is a high quality, premixed cementitious plaster that is specially blended for use on wall surfaces.

SikaWall®-166 RenoPlast is suitable for internal and external rendering onto all types of concrete substrate and brickwork surfaces. Its durability and adhesion can be further enhanced with the addition of SikaLatex®-88 Reno or other recommeded Sika Primer.

Usage

SikaWall®-166 RenoPlast is suitable for bedding, pointing brickwork and blockwork, backing and bedding for wall tiles.  
SikaWall®-166 RenoPlast can be used for all types of concrete substrate, lightweight autoclaved aerated blocks, brickwall and blockwall.

Application steps

SURFACE PREPARATION

Remove all dust, oil or traces of foreign materials. Dampen the dry concrete or plastered surface before application of SikaWall®-166 RenoPlast.

MIXING

Mix thoroughly using an electrical mixer or a paddle mixer for 3 to 5 minutes until the desired homogeneous mortar paste is achieved. Ensure the mix is free from lumps before use.

APPLICATION

SikaWall®-166 RenoPlast is applied using a steel trowel or spraying machine. It will remain workable for approximately 60 minutes after mixing.

 

CURING TREATMENT

In hot ambient temperature, the plaster should be cured with water spray for the first few days, to prevent rapid moisture loss and for better shrinkage control.
