PREMIUM GRADE PREMIXED CEMENTITIOUS FINE RENDER

SikaWall®-171 Render Fine is a premium grade, high performance cementitious premixed plastering material that is specially formulated with low carbon footprint to minimise the impact on the environment. It provides superior bonding to concrete and block/brick work surfaces. SikaWall®-171 Render Fine comprises of Ordinary Portland Cement, polymers, graded sands, approved recycled materials and chemical additives to provide a durable plaster for both internal and external use.

Usage

SikaWall®-171 Render Fine is a very versatile material, highly recommended for bedding, pointing brickwork and blockwork, backing and bedding for wall tiles. It is also recommended for internal and external plastering.   SikaWall®-171 Render Fine is suitable for all types of concrete substrate, lightweight autoclaved aerated blocks, brickwall and blockwall.

Application steps

SURFACE PREPARATION

Remove all dust, oil or traces of foreign materials. Dampen the dry concrete or plastered surface before application of SikaWall®-171 Render Fine.

SikaWall®-171 Render Fine is not a structural repair material so it should not be used to patch and level concrete surface that is out of alignment. 

MIXING

Mix thoroughly using an electrical mixer or a paddle mixer for 3 - 5 minutes until the desired homogeneous mortar paste is achieved. Ensure the mix is free from lumps before use.

 

APPLICATION

SikaWall®-171 Render Fine is applied using a steel trowel or spraying machine. It will remain workable for approximately 40 - 60 minutes after mixing. The first coat should have application thickness not exceeding 8 mm. After curing under shaded ambient conditions for 4 hours, the second coat is applied.

The maximum application thickness for each layer is 15 mm.

CURING TREATMENT

In hot ambient temperature, the plaster should be cured with water spray during the first 2 days, for better shrinkage control.
