JOINT ADHESIVE FOR LIGHTWEIGHT BLOCKS/PANELS

SikaMur®-100 Block Bond is a cementitious adhesive that is ideal for jointing lightweight block and panels.

SikaMur®-100 Block Bond is specially formulated with Ordinary Portland Cement, approved recycled materials, graded sand and chemical additives to have lower embodied carbon footprint while providing a durable adhesive for light-weight blocks and panels (AAC/ALC).

Usage

Application steps

SURFACE PREPARATION

Remove all dust, oil or traces of foreign materials.

MIXING

Mix the product thoroughly within the recommended water ratios using an electrical mixer for 3 to 5 minutes until the desired homogeneous mortar paste is achieved. Ensure the mix is free from lumps before use.

Allow the mixture to stand for 5 -10 minutes, and remixed before use.

APPLICATION

Apply SikaMur®-100 Block Bond onto clean joint substrate with an appropriate notched trowel. The material can be applied at a recommendedthickness of 2 - 4 mm. Ensure good contact is achieved between mortar adhesive and block surface. This is best achieved by laying the blocks as soon as the mortar is applied. The blocks can be adjusted to proper alignment by using a rubber mallet.
