Sikament®-1100 NT V

Polycarboxylic acid-based high-range AE water reducing agent with thickening agent

Sikament®-1100 NT V is high-range AE water reducing agent containing polycarboxylic acid-based compounds as the main ingredient as well as thickening agent. Use of Sikament®-1100 NT V enables production of medium and high flow concrete without causing concrete separations even with relatively low cement volume.

Sikament®-1100 NT V can provide excellent workability based on thickening agent.  Sikament®-1100 NT V provides the following advantages on concrete production:
  • Medium to high flow concrete can be produced in a low cement area (e.g., 350 kg/m3 of unit cement) compared to conventional medium flow to high flow concrete.
  • Concrete with excellent material separation resistance, flowability, workability can be also produced.
  • Excellent retention of slump and slump flow, easy handling of concrete

Usage

Sikament®-1100 NT V can be used for the following types of concrete:
  • Medium to high flow concrete with compressive strength of 27-45 N/mm2
  • Secondary lining concrete for tunnel and mass concrete
  • Concrete with a large number of or overcrowded reinforcing bars
  • CFT (Concrete Filled Steel Tube) Concrete
  • PPVC (Pre-fabricated Pre-finished Volumetric Modular Construction)

Shelf Life

6 months (avoid direct sunlight, store in a cool place)

Storage Conditions

Store the product in a cool and dark place but avoid freezing and direct sunlight. Keep agitation to maintain homogenous solution. Be sure to use the product as soon as possible after opening the package, be careful not to mix foreign matter. If frozen (freezing point: -2 °C), thaw naturally and mix thoroughly before use. Prior to use, agitate to obtain homogenous solution.

Application Information

Compatibility

Avoid mixing with other admixtures including naphthalene or melamine based fluidizers.

Restrictions

  • Overdosing will result in setting time increase of concrete.
  • Use an appropriate concrete mixer and do not mix by hand.
  • Trial mixes are recommended to establish exact dosage rates required to suit individual requirements.
  • Contact Sika Technical Department for further assistance.
Consumption

Recommended Dosage

0.8% to 3.0% Sikament®-1100 NT V per cement or binders in weight is recommended, but also recommend determining the product dosage by running concrete mix test in advance.
