SikaLatex®-751

SikaLatex®-751 is a synthetic resin emulsion which significantly improves the performance of mortar and concrete.

Usage

  • Bonding agent for cementitious floor screed and polymer modified repair mortar.

  • Added to thick and thin bed render on screed to increase flexural and compressive strength.

Application steps

SUBSTRATE PREPARATION

All surfaces must be free from dust, grease, paint or loose materials.

If used as a bonding aid to receive polymer modified repair mortar, prepare the substrate by removing existing loose or damaged concrete by mechanical means, including hacking around the surrounding of corroded reinforcing steel to expose the corroded steel. Remove loose debris using compressed air or wire brushing technique. Clean the surface before applying SikaLatex®-751.

APPLICATION

Bonding agent
Spread evenly on concrete or other surfaces using brush or roller to form a bonding agent to bond polymer modified repair mortar. Reapplication of SikaLatex®-751 is necessary if the product has completely dried out before placing the repair mortar.

When bonding to porous surfaces, apply a first coat consisting of 1 part SikaLatex®-751 to 2 parts water to reduce suction, following by a second coat of neat SikaLatex®-751. For non-porous surface, apply only second coat, wait till tacky or not more than 1 hour before application of mortar or render.
 

Slurry Scratch Coats / Key Coat
SikaLatex®-751 can be mixed with renders, screed, cement, etc. to form slurry key coats for screeding and plastering. Refer to respective product data sheets & method statements for recommendations.

 

CLEANING OF TOOLS

SikaLatex®-751 can be cleaned using water before product sets.
