SikaGrout®-128 (G280)

(former Davco® Grout 280 ECO)

GENERAL PATCHING NON-SHRINK GROUT

SikaGrout®-128 (G280) is a cementitious non-shrink grout with low embodied carbon footprint and is approved by the Eco-labelling authority in Singapore as a sustainable building material. It requires only the addition of water to produce a high quality, non-shrink grout that is non-corrosive, non-oxidising and free of chlorides and nitrates.

Usage

Suitable for the following applications:
  • Patching repairs on concrete walls and floors
  • Bonding of new concrete to old
  • Filling cavities, gaps, recesses, joints, angle fillets, etc.

Application steps

SUBSTRATE PREPARATION

Substrate should be cleaned and roughened. All loose materials and free water must be removed. Damp the substrate with water before application.

MIXING

For optimum result, a mechanical mixer should be used. Correct water ratio should be measured and poured into the container. Then slowly add SikaGrout®-128 (G280) into the container and mix continuously for 4 to 5 minutes until a homogeneous paste is achieved.

APPLICATION

SikaGrout®-128 (G280) is ready to use after mixing with the appropriate water demand. For patching repairs to floor and walls, application can be done using a steel trowel. For improved abrasion and water resistance, a bonding agent, e.g. SikaLatex®-751 can be added.

 

CURING TREATMENT

Immediately after finishing, exposed area should be thoroughly cured with wet hessian or curing compound.
