Sikafloor®-336 PU TopCoat

FLOOR PROTECTION COATING FOR INTERNAL & EXTERNAL APPLICATIONS

Sikafloor®-336 PU TopCoat forms a tough homogeneous topcoat that protects the floor topping while enhancing the floor tone uniformity. Sikafloor®-336 PU TopCoat also increases the slip resistance, stain and abrasion resistance, enhancing durability and ease in cleaning.

Usage

Sikafloor®-336 PU TopCoat is specially formulated for both internal and external application and is ideal for refurbishing old and worn flooring surfaces and for areas that requires slip and stain resistance, durability and easy maintenance such as:

Depending on the porosity of the surface to be applied, average coverage is approximately 7 - 10 m²/kg (as a guide for concrete surface).
Application steps

SUBSTRATE PREPARATION

The substrate must be clean, sound, dust free without any traces of oil, laitance, curing compound and other contaminants.
The substrate must be fully cured and dry with low moisture content.
Deeply contaminated substrate must be abraded to clean and sound surface.

APPLICATION

For existing substrate, prime with Sikalastic®-500 Acrylic Primer AP before application of Sikafloor®-336 PU TopCoat.

For new substrate, ensure that substrate is fully cured before applying first coat of Sikafloor®-336 PU TopCoat. Apply evenly onto Sika Self-levelling products and allow minimum 2 hours for Sikafloor®-336 PU TopCoat to dry before light foot traffic may be allowed.

 



In external applications, special care needs to be taken to protect the coating from direct sunlight and high winds during curing to prevent rapid hydration or excessive loss of moisture.

Where possible, test areas are recommended, to ensure the suitability of the product for the intended use. This should include the floor finishing / covering.

CLEANING OF TOOLS

Clean mixing and application equipment with water immediately following use.
Remove splatter or spills with water before material sets.
If allowed to dry, removal of the coating material becomes extremely difficult.
