SikaRoof® VersiDrain® P-Anchor®

UNDER SCREED DRAINAGE MAT FOR EFFLORESCENCE MITIGATION

SikaRoof® VersiDrain® P-Anchor® is a lightweight under screed drainage mat installed between the structural slab and the covering screed, or between hardscape finishes. Modules are manufactured from recycled polypropylene (PP), and it allows entrapped water in the finishes’ cement screed to drain away through the perforations in the mat. SikaRoof® VersiDrain® P-Anchor® modules interlock with adjacent modules for easy installation and has a smooth base for safe placement directly over the waterproofing membrane. The frusto-pyramidal openings allow the screed that is poured onto SikaRoof® VersiDrain® P-Anchor® to flow through and bind to the substrate below, eliminating a floating slab.

Usage

Under screed drainage mat for podiums, balconies, rooftops and areas with hardscape finishes requiring mitigation efforts against efflorescence by allowing entrapped moisture to escape.

Application steps

SUBSTRATE PREPARATION

Clean and sound surface shall have at least a wood float finish. All holes, joints, and cracks and honeycombs in concrete or masonry surfaces shall be filled with an approved grout and allowed to cure. High spots in concrete or masonry surfaces shall be cut off or ground down to prevent damage/puncture to the drainage module.

APPLICATION

SikaRoof® VersiDrain® P-Anchor® shall be loosely laid and interlocked with adjacent modules connected by proprietary in-built clips to form a continuous drainage layer without any mechanical fixing either on top of the waterproofing membrane or on top of the concrete surface. For a bonded application, the cement & sand screed shall be poured onto the drainage modules to receive tile finishes. For an unbonded application, insulation boards shall be installed on the drainage modules before applying tile adhesive and finishes.
