EQUIPMENT
Select the most appropriate equipment required for the project:
Mixing
- Electric single paddle mixer (300 – 400 rpm)
Application
- Brush or solvent resistant rollers
- Air spray with machines: nozzle orifice of 1.0–1.5 mm, nozzle pressure 0.3–0.4 MPa
- Airless spray with machines: nozzle orifice of 0.44–0.49 mm, nozzle pressure 20 MPa
SUBSTRATE PREPARATION
If the overcoating time of the existing base coat has been exceeded, the surface may be roughened using light abrasive manual tools or mechanical equipment.
All contamination such as dust, loose and friable material that could affect final finish or reduce adhesion, must be completely removed from all surfaces before application of the product, preferably by vacuum extraction equipment.
MIXING
Prior to mixing all parts, mix separately Part A (resin) using an electric paddle mixer or other suitable equipment. Mix liquid and all the coloured pigment until a uniform colour / mix has been achieved. Add Part B (hardener) to Part A and mix Part A + B continuously for 3.0 minutes until a uniformly coloured mix has been achieved. Mix full units only. Mixing time for A+B = ~3.0 minutes.
APPLICATION
Apply mixed product in 1 coat by roller, brush or spray equipment to achieve a consistent thickness and required surface finish.
CLEANING OF TOOLS
Clean all tools and application equipment with Thinner C immediately after use. Hardened material can only be removed mechanically or with a proprietary paint stripper.
