Usage

SarnaFast®-6.0 x L fastener is used in combination with SarnaDisc® metal washers, SarnaTube®, Sarnabar®, S-U Bar or S-Termination Bar and others for mechanical fastening of waterproofing systems and insulation boards onto steel deck (for 0.63 up to 1.25mm metal deck), concrete, timber and plywood/OSB substrates. Suitable for mechanically fastened roofing system under 70% R.H. environment without chemical corrosion condition.

Application steps

APPLICATION

SarnaFast®-6.0 fasteners are installed together with SarnaDisc®metal washers, or SarnaTube® tubes or all types of termination bars to fix Sika roofing membranes or insulation board onto roof substrate.

Length of fixing combination ≥ thickness of roof system

  • Steel Deck plus insulation thickness       + 20 mm
  • Timber plus insulation thickness             + 30 mm
  • Plywood min 18mm plus insulation
    thickness                                                      + 30 mm
  • Concrete plus insulation thickness         
    Predrill 5.0 mm in concrete                      + 30 mm

Reference must be made to further documentation where applicable, such as relevant method statement, application manual and installation or working instructions.

Installation works must be carried out only by Sika instructed and approved roofing contractors.
