Tiling and Decking Installation at New Swimming Complex

The project required the creation of comfortable, shaded, and durable outdoor spaces around the multi‑sport courts and community garden. Structural support was needed beneath landscaped zones to protect tree roots, maintain soil health, and improve drainage. The design also required a stable raised deck system that provides improved drainage efficiency and a reliable tile adhesion system for
use in both indoor and outdoor conditions.

Tiered Shaded Resting Areas

SikaRoof® StrataVault 30 Root Cell modules were installed beneath trees to create shaded resting spots while protecting roots from compaction. They also improved soil aeration and drainage, reducing water ponding after rain.

Community Garden Terrace & Walkways

The outdoor raised deck was constructed using SikaRoof® VersiJack® height-and-slope-adjustable pedestals, providing a stable and level support system. Aluminium joists were positioned on bearer holders secured to the pedestals, followed by the installation of composite deck boards to create a durable and levelled walking surface.

Tiling for Interior and Exterior Areas

SikaCeram®-100 TTB (former Davco® TTB ECO) was applied as the tile adhesive for both interior and exterior floors and walls. This high-quality cementitious adhesive offered excellent bond strength, workability, and compatibility with a wide range of tile types and substrates.
